I have decided to start publishing photographs and summaries of vacations and short trips I have taken to sites that are related to General George Armstrong Custer and his family, the US 7th Cavalry, Indian leaders, and battles fought. If you would like to use one of the images on these pages please email me and I'll send you a high resolution large format copy instead of the lower quality images used here.
I currently have a trip to Kentucky planned for certain and a visit to the "other" John Martin's grave in Indiana. I am thinking of heading out west later in the year.
I visited the Battle of Washita and several other sites in Oklahoma.
In August I visited 71 sites involving General Custer's US Civil War exploits. In November I was present for the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Tippecanoe near Lafayette, Indiana.
In June I visited General George Custer's adopted home town of Monroe Michigan and Lafayette Indiana. In August and September and I visited Gettysburg and Hanover Pennsylvania along with New Rumley Ohio.
I still have a couple of items to add from 2009. They deal with President Abraham Lincoln in Kentucky.
