This is a tour of the Little Big Horn Battlefield set to a very nice version of "Garry Owen". I took the photos during a three day stay at the battlefield in late July 2008.
This is a tour of Fort Abraham Lincoln in North Dakota set to "The Girl I Left Behind Me". The song was played as the 7th headed out on their journey to meet their fate. Included are images of the Custer House. Many items in the house belonged to the General and his wife Libby. This video concludes on Last Stand Hill.
This video begins at the Battle of the Rosebud and travels to the Fetterman Fight, Fort Phil Kearny, and the Wagon Box Fight. The Rosebud battle gave the Indians the proof that they could attack and defeat a large number of US Army soldiers. A few days later the same Braves took on the 7th Cavalry at Little Big Horn. I refuse to call it the Fetterman Massacre as many do. I prefer Fetterman Fight, it seems every time the Indians won it was a "massacre"! Crazy Horse lured Fetterman's infantry to their death. The great Red Cloud was instrumental in shutting down Fort Phil Kearny. Red Cloud failed short term at the Wagon Box Fight as a very small group of whites held off a very large Indian attack.
This video is dedicated to the Indians at the Little Big Horn and all across the United States. Of special interest is the peace pipe of Sitting Bull. He broke it as another treaty was broken and his people were once again forced from their land.
